Senior Director, IP Video Product Management

The IP Video Product Lead works together with business developers, architects, engineers, and program managers to understand the business needs of cable and other video operators, and to cherry pick the right Comcast-developed innovations to meet their needs and make them successful.

This is a unique opportunity to be a cross-connect between Comcast and partner companies, representing our products and roadmaps to partner companies, and in turn capturing, translating, and advocating for partner needs within Comcast. Lead the definition of the IP video technology offering for Comcast partners by:

  • Partner with internal teams to understand Comcast’s IP video strategy and the technology roadmap we are following to achieve it
  • Working with partners to understand their strategy and the essential technology capabilities they require to support it
  • Collecting partner use cases and developing product specifications
  • Working with architecture to resolve how the elements of the organization's roadmap can be applied to support partner needs
  • Identifying and documenting any modification, augmentation, and/or acceleration of products in the Comcast roadmap necessary to better support partners

Lead the working team that handles the partner IP video portfolio by:

  • Setting priorities to guide resource allocation across portfolio items
  • Owning engagement with internal product teams to advocate for partner-specific products and features
  • Be primary source of product knowledge for partners by:
  • Developing product documentation
  • Being a specialist on product features and capabilities and how they work
  • Connecting partners to internal resources when deeper dives are required

Support successful partner deployment and operation of the IP video offering by:

  • Establishing operational metrics and critical metrics to monitor product performance in production
  • Tracking metrics to identify chronic issues and opportunities for platform improvement
  • Driving appropriate remediation to address major and/or recurring performance issues
  • Driving opportunities for improvement back into the overall IP video roadmap

Span of control

  • Responsible for multiple IP video syndication platforms (Linear, VOD, cDVR)
  • Responsible for multiple markets (US and international)
  • Leads multiple direct reports
  • Responsible for >$80m annual revenue
  • Will routinely interact with ED and VP-level counterparts at Syndication partners and colleagues within Comcast TPX and CTS
  • Will frequently present to SVP, EVP and C-level execs at partners and within Comcast

  • Education level -- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent, MBA preferred
  • Field of Study -- Engineering, Business
  • Experience – 12+ years handling technology products/platforms in B2B context, experience leading managed services strongly preferred
