The dx Team has responsibility of data engineering, data governance for Comcast data platforms. Within Big Data domain, Service and Operations function have responsibilities of building the framework and process around issue management, triaging data issues, database & platform operations of Big data platforms, produce standard operational KPIs leveraging the common enterprise tools such as Service Now, JIRA and Tableau.

-Build a plan and process for performing triage, prioritization, and coordination of enterprise data defects and correction plans.
-Collaborate with Business owners, technical owners, and development teams to determine an action plan for data fixes including downstream impacts, root cause analysis, incremental code fixes, historical data fixes, and communicating execution of plans.
-Work with Data Quality, Data Engineering, Data Stewardship teams to recommend or modify rules.
-Design ticketing forms to collect appropriate data to document and report on incidents impacting data availability and data quality.
-Work with partner teams to extract and load data into a reporting repository. Create views to enhance extracted data to facilitate analysis, tracking of resources, and identification of problematic areas.
-Build reporting for the user community, including weekly status reports, SLAs and metric read-outs and to facility project planning.
-Displays in-depth knowledge of, and ability to apply, project management skills
-Works independently, assumes responsibility for job development and training, researches and resolves questions and problems, requests supervisor input and keeps supervisor informed required
-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

-Convey complex technical issues/problems to programmers in a clear/concise manner
-Ability to convey complex concepts to business stakeholders in terms relevant to the business
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills

-6+ years of relevant employment experience
-6+ years writing technical requirements and business logic
-3+ years process documentation and depicting data lineage
-3+ years interpreting data models, data dictionaries and queries
-Exposure to the JIRA, Service Now tools
-Ability to write moderately complex SQL queries, PL/SQL a plus
-Exposure to the following a plus: Hortonworks, Hadoop, Teradata, Informatica, Tableau
