Contracts Specialist, Legal – Comcast | Comcast Technology Solutions

Job Summary

The Contract Specialist will be responsible for supporting management to ensure the business and legal affairs of the organization are handled within the company guidelines and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing, negotiating, managing and maintaining various contracts for Comcast, including drafting, review and negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, vendor services agreements, statements of work and other related agreements under the supervision of Comcast attorneys, as well as supporting contract form maintenance and procurement policy implementation. The Contract Specialist will also be responsible for serving as a liaison to internal teams by providing guidance on the legal request process, documentation requirements and best practices. The Contract Specialist must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor and possess the ability to communicate at all levels throughout an organization (verbally and in writing), as well as a working knowledge of Office 365 programs, Salesforce and DocuSign.

Core Responsibilities

-Prepares, negotiates, and manages various standard and non-standard contracts for the organization to ensure they comply with business requirements as well as corporate policy.
-Creates, updates, and preserves important corporate records.
-Performs legal research and reports findings to management.
-Drafts legal documents of some complexity.
-Possesses knowledge of the law and legal processes.
-Demonstrates excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends and variable schedule(s), as necessary.
-Serves as liaison to internal business partners; communicates daily via various channels with cross-functional teams including Sales, Professional Services, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Business Operations and Management, and advises the same on legal documentation and processes.
-Maintains a current working knowledge of various Comcast Technology Solutions products and services.
-Drafts, updates and maintains documentation of departmental standards and procedural guides.
-Performs certain administrative tasks, including but not limited to, facilitating contract approval and execution; distribution, filing and retrieval of final agreements (via Salesforce and DocuSign); assisting with management of legal team’s SharePoint site; and organizing, maintaining, tracking, and handling incoming and outgoing legal correspondence.
-Demonstrates personal attentiveness, responsiveness, and prompt follow-up to all internal and external customers.
-Organizes, maintains, tracks, and handles incoming and outgoing legal correspondence.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
-Requires 5-7 years of related experience in a corporate law department or business unit, or a law firm.
-Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent; Paralegal certificate is a plus.
-Experience in a technology company, sales organization or equivalent.
-Experience with Salesforce, DocuSign and other sales and contract management tools.
-Proficient in Office 365 applications and other popular productivity and collaboration tools.
-Demonstrated ability to employ good judgment and good decision-making skills.
-Excellent organization and time management skills.
-Excellent negotiating, drafting, problem solving and communications skills.
-Ability to work effectively with management and operations personnel, simultaneously manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with consistently high-quality work product.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
