Comcast Spotlight interns will be involved in sales and marketing activities centered on learning about Spotlight products and services; and experience the process of driving revenue by obtaining advertising dollars from advertisers. This intern will work closely with the sales marketing organization to learn how this team provides strategic counsel and creative solutions to advertisers by marrying the Comcast Spotlight brands and product offerings and solutions to that of our clients' goals. The internship experience will include exposure to all aspects of the sales cycle including client development, marketing, creative, research, and the pre/post sale model.

Core Responsibilities:

The intern will have the opportunity to participate in and learn about the advertising sales business and industry.

  1. Work with the Sales Marketing team on efforts surrounding prospecting, ideation, presentation, execution, reporting and retention/growth phases to drive revenue.
  2. Participate in client discovery to uncover the client's goals and objectives
  3. Provide creative ideas and concepts for the client pitch
  4. Create custom client-specific proposals and turnkey presentations/materials
  5. Create content to execute a client's campaign; as well as help produce TV spots and schedule their inventory
  6. Assist with planning and execution of in-market client-facing and B2B events
  7. Support partner departments; including Research and Client Development teams
  8. Partner with Local Account Executives to experience the full sales cycle
  9. Learn the pre and post-sale activities and reports as it relates to sales process
  10. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Experience and Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in sales/marketing, or recent college undergrad degree preferred
  • Strong desire in pursuing a career in advertising media sales
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Very task-oriented
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication (including presentation) skills
  • Requires 0 years experience
