POSITION & CANDIDATE SUMMARY


Reporting to the Sr. Director of HR/TM, this individual focuses on establishing and subsequently leading the implementation and execution of Talent Management and Talent Effectiveness initiatives across Comcast Business. The Director is the process owner for the Talent Management process and maintains and fosters a high level of confidentiality. An ideal candidate will have a broad and complete understanding of Talent Management functions, including the tools and processes associated with leadership development, succession planning, career pathing, diversity & inclusion and workforce segmentation. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a proven consultative approach, extensive program management experience, organization skills, and business and data analytic acumen.

Consults with HR and Business partners to understand talent management needs, develop plans/processes to resolve business and/or organizational solutions and subsequently constructs programs to meet the needs, support business objectives, improve employee and business performance, and gain a return on investment for the business.

Brings creativity and new ideas to the design and development of new programs and initiatives as well as continuously seeking improvement of existing programs, processes and services. Design, develop and launch new talent management initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders to enable the accomplishment of business objectives; provide oversight of programs post-launch and recommends termination of programs, where appropriate.

Position Responsibilities:
-Partner with members of the executive team and/or HR to establish strategic and operational goals, with a focus on how the company's talent can help to achieve them. Lead executives through a process to assess the ability of business unit's talent to carry out the strategy, identifying gaps and opportunities to address them (through talent acquisition, development, and other means).
-Provides Change Management consultation for all Talent Management initiatives.
-Plan, consult, prepare materials, and provide onsite support for the executive and leadership meetings.
-Drives organizational diversity and inclusion initiatives in partnership with HR and business unit leadership.
-Foster and develop community partnerships; partners with Talent, Diversity & Inclusion as necessary with a focus on actively recruiting in the communities in which we work.
-Supports the creation of documents, communications, and implements a strategy for each Talent Management initiative.
-Develops a framework and accompanying processes that enables the business to leverage credible programs (i.e. Succession Planning and Executive development) to build a viable pipeline of talent to support business growth and productivity.
-Own the Talent Management database; content, acquisition and management of Manager through Executive data, analytics, and reporting.
-Manage quarterly talent check-ins, consolidate and analyze all data and convert into actionable follow-up for each senior executive leader.
-Innovate and automate the talent tools and processes wherever possible.
-In partnership with Comcast University (CU), develop or initiate curriculum designed to support the strategic skill development aligned to meet the needs of the business.
-Support the preparation and nomination process for all formalized High-Potential Comcast development programs. Increase business overall participation and awareness of leadership programs. Also develop process to capture program ROI.
-Day to day management, tracking, and maintenance of Executive development; coaching, participation and other activities associated with talent action planning follow-ups. Maintain a library of suggested participation, knowledge of vendor coursework, executive coaches, and educational coursework available within CU and outside of Comcast.
-Active participation and support of CHQ talent management initiatives and projects; Ad hoc support for HR analytics, and projects.
-Works to develop the knowledge and acumen for talent management across all leaders in the organization
-Provides research, analysis, consultation and recommendations of the strategic planning process for the business unit. Develops, maintains and communicates the business unit strategy and initiatives.
-Formulate and implement innovative talent-related policies and procedures that promote organizational effectiveness.
-Understand our work environment (industry trends, labor market, competition, etc.) and implement talent strategies to address any current or foreseen challenges.

-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters
of significance.
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Demonstrated Skills Include:
-Proven ability to consult with HR stakeholders of all levels; develop and execute solutions accordingly.
-Must possess extensive research and analytical skills, with deep Talent Management & Leadership Development subject matter knowledge.
-Must possess project management skills in order to work and lead several projects at the same time.
-Must have a desire to enhance the strength of data by uncovering the underlying story and identifying parallels with external research and trends.
-Strong oral and written communication skills, most importantly the ability to deliver concise and precise messages to top management to assist in decision making.
-Attention to detail, while able to keep the big picture in mind, and a strong sense of logic.

Experience Required:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in HR, Communications, Business, IT or Engineering. MBA or other post-graduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related fields a plus
-Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated talent management, leadership/staff development or organizational consulting experience. Areas of experience must include some combination of the following: curriculum development/facilitation/program management, career pathing or skills mapping
-Project management and organization skills to handle multiple projects (small and large) with conflicting priorities and deliver projects on time with excellence
-Demonstrated data analytics capabilities with the ability to identify insights, alternative solutions and recommendations
-Experience in the change management aspect of new programs and initiatives
-Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SAP, or other HRIS systems
-Strong PC, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
