Job Description

Business Unit:

DUTIES: Contribute to team responsible for developing and engineering Java-based applications used by Customer Support Agents to resolve video, broadband device, and service issues on the Comcast Cable's X1 platform and on RDK-based devices; design, develop, test, and debug customer support applications supporting RDK-based, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings in an Agile environment, using Java, JavaScript, Angular, JQuery, Ansible, Git, and Spring Framework; work with Product Owners and User Experience teams to understand software specifications, collaborating with product owners and scrum masters to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical specifications; follow Agile Scrum and DevOps practices to deploy and support applications in a cloud framework; participate in daily Agile Scrum ceremonies, contributing and responding to peer code reviews as needed; participate in design reviews to ensure reusable software components match user requirements; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing applications supporting RDK-based, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings in an Agile environment, using Java, JavaScript, Angular, JQuery, Ansible, Git, and Spring Framework; and deploying applications in a cloud framework; of which one (1) year must include building software communicating with video and broadband devices.
