Lead Technical Writer

The Technical Writer is responsible for supporting growth in key target segments by driving technical marketing communication through various channels. Primary duties include creation and project management for how-to guides, knowledge base articles, whitepapers, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information to both end users and internal staff. This person works closely with the cross-functional teams including Sales, Account Management, Trainers, Product Management, and Client Support teams, to ensure successful understanding and adoption of our platforms in the region.
Manage the creation or updates of end-user product documentation, gathering input from engineering, product management, trainers, and support teams.
Create how-to and FAQ content to support new and existing products that increases user comprehension and decreases support call volume.
Develop, implement, maintain and adheres to technical communications documentation standards for both Self-Service Knowledgebase and integration to in-app product help guides.
Maintains current knowledge of technical writing techniques, tools, methodologies, human/computer interface, and graphical user interface development guidelines.
Maintaining records and files of work-in-process, released work, and revision updates
Arranging for duplication and distribution of materials
Writing technical tips & bulletins for internal and external communication
Delivering production-quality documents to meet product launch deadlines
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Job Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's)
Strong writing skills
Ability to comprehend technical concepts and workflows
Knowledge of and adherence to standard technical writing styles and guidelines.
Strong project management and cross-team coordination skills
Proficiency proofreading and editing English-language documents
Familiarity with product development concepts and processes
Able to organize and manage multiple deadlines and priorities efficiently
This role may not have administrative direct reports but will have the responsibility to mobilize resources from various teams within the organization to deliver against the projects.

Ability to work independently from home or/and office with hours agreed upon by their manager.
Requires some travel up to 10%
Minimum qualifications and requirements
Bachelors Degree in Communications or Information Sciences/Technology
5-7 years related experience
